Helen has a Degree in Specialist Practice with Children and Families and Diploma in Social Work as well as a Post-Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play. Helen uses a wide range of skills when working with children and families. Helen's approach is to work in a respectful, but open and honest manner with families and professionals.

Helen has over 20 years experience and skills working with children and families - in adoption, foster care, kinship care, residential and in supporting families with children at risk of harm. She has worked extensively with children who have experienced developmental trauma due to past abuse and neglect and specializes in working with these children and their families. Helen has significant training in attachment and trauma, which informs her understanding and approach, tailored on a case-by-case basis and is unique to each child.
